Meet Your Meditation Facilitator, Shumaila Hemani
Dr. Shumaila Hemani is a musician, artist, and changemaker dedicated to helping individuals and communities reconnect with themselves and the world around them. With a background in Hindustani art music, ethnomusicology, and positive neuroplasticity, she integrates sound, mindfulness, and nature-based practices into her work to promote healing and resilience. As a certified Positive Neuroplasticity Teacher, Shumaila’s approach is grounded in the science of the brain’s ability to change and heal, offering a compassionate path forward for those facing burnout, stress, and life’s challenges. Drawing from her own experience of burnout during her time at Harvard University and her subsequent journey of healing, Shumaila empowers others through her leadership coaching, deep listening workshops, and nature-based meditations. Shumaila’s work is inspired by her love for the natural world, combining ancient wisdom with modern neuroscience to create transformative experiences for changemakers, artists, and leaders. She is the founder of The Deep Listening Path, where she supports individuals in grounding themselves, building emotional resilience, and cultivating mindfulness in everyday life.
